Shortlisted for three major content awards

Get set for the understatement of the year: “2020 has been a very unusual time”. You won’t need to have won too many content awards to figure that out!

The dreaded “C” word has meant work from home, social distancing, lockdowns, curfews, facemasks, travel bans, and what has seemed like an end to life as we know it. For goodness sake they even closed the pubs for four months and now they have reopened they seem to be staid and joyless environments where socialising is eschewed and laughter frowned upon.

Still, some things haven’t changed. The team are still doing what we do best — creating compelling content marketing campaigns that generate new business and greater awareness for the companies we represent — even if we’ve been doing it perched on the corner of a settee in the lounge or at the dinner table.

And, just to prove the point, we have been shortlisted for no less than three honours in the prestigious UK Content awards.

The Content Marketing ‘oscars’

This annual awards programme is akin to the content marketing oscars. According to the competition’s judging criteria the awards “celebrate excellence in content marketing and rewards agencies and in-house teams across the UK who are creating high quality, valuable content which attracts, informs, engages and retains an audience to ultimately deliver traffic and profit”.

The team have been shortlisted for two campaigns run on behalf of one of our major clients, Adrian Flux insurance services based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. These are:

Paid Content Campaign of the year: With the help of the design team at Maze Media, To The End helped drive a 37% increase in the number of household insurance policy holders on the back of its Pinterest campaign for the Adrian Flux Victorian Homes website, which also features a downloadable eBook.

Best Content Series: To The End conceived, created and maintains the Adrian Flux Forever Cars website which features incredible cars that have been owned by the same people for 30 years or more. The site features around 40 cherished cars, including a pristine Porsche 356B, an REO Flying Cloud Coupe, a Vintage Bentley and a 1948 Aston Martin 2-Litre Sports, really tapping into the Adrian Flux niche and expertise in insuring classic cars.

The third award the team at To The End have been shortlisted for is Small Content Marketing Agency of the Year.

Content awards bubbly stays on ice

Naturally we are all very excited about the awards shortlistings and we eagerly await the declaration of the winners on Tuesday, October 20.

The only disappointing thing is that because of Covid’s latest “rule of six” the Champagne will have to remain on ice. There will be no black tie awards dinner to attend as we wait to find out if we will be collecting the gongs. That means the dinner jackets and the LBDs will have to remain in mothballs for the time being, but I’m sure we will be able to celebrate in due course.
